The Shoulder Rider by Beatriz Roman is an introduction to a local legend Shirley McFerson. It was written as a read-aloud for children and adults. The Story of Ms. McFerson was illustrated by Bea as well. Ms. Roman (accent) decided early on that she would like to make the book available free to local libraries, including school and historical society libraries. She is now bringing it to us at The Conkling Center!
