LGA-Lake George Association Floating Classroom. 9:45 check-in. Boat leaves Dock promptly at 10am. Since 1991, future generations of Lake Protectors have begun their protection journeys on board the LGA’s Floating Classroom. In your fun-and factfilled cruise, you’ll measure water clarity, catch zooplankton, investigate other water quality parameters-and return to shore with a whole new understanding of what it takes to keep Lake George clear and clean. The program is two hours long.
The Floating Classroom will set sail from the dock at the end of Lower Amherst Street. *There is no designated parking for the program. Handicap parking is located at the bottom of hill (limited). There are steps to go down the dock to reach the boat. Electronic meters in the Village are $2 an hour. You may download the Park Mobile App before going to the Village to avoid any cellular signal/Wi-Fi drops.
