Joan and Dale Prouty return to share their passion of The Little Golden Books. Little Golden Books were introduced in 1942 when reading materials for children were expanding from the “classics” to shorter vibrant offerings. These high quality children’s books became available at an affordable price and were sold where ordinary people shopped every day. This changed the publishing world and won the hearts of the American children. Reminisce as we look back at the publishers, authors and illustrators who produced the literary phenomenon generations have enjoyed for 80 years.
