A good estate plan starts with your Will, which dictates how your assets will be distributed. This requires careful consideration particularly when there are children from a prior marriage, minor beneficiaries or disabled beneficiaries. Estate planning is vital to insuring that your wishes are carried out and your assets pass according to those wishes. This presentation will cover basic information on the Estate Planning process, including explanations of the different documents involved in estate planning, including Wills, Powers of Attorney and Trusts, as well as how titling of assets (co-owners, beneficiaries) affects these documents. This presentation will also include a brief overview of the probate process. Presented by Kristine K. Flower, Esq. (Caffry & Flower).
